An environmentalist’s appeal to Shashank Manohar

We all know sir that you don’t use a cellphone.

You don’t wear a watch either.

And you hardly fly – so much so that you didn’t have a passport till the other day.

Eco-friendly is the word that leaps to the lip.

Then why this series of showcause notices to Lalit Modi, sir?

One showcause notice invited a 15,000-page reply. To give you an idea, you roughly fell two trees to get 16,000 A4 size pages.

Sir, every time BCCI showcauses Modi, he vanishes into the nearby forest with an axe in hand.

No scruples at all sir, his replies are triple-spaced!

Spare a thought on the World Environment Day sir. Spare Modi.

Nice 'un, Som! :)

The very idea of Modi going to the forests with an axe is outrageously funny. Just imagine all the cheer girls and beer girls running after him to the forest... Thanks to the 'Axe Effect'

Ha Ha... This is the first ever time I am laughing at my own inspired innovation :-)

I like what Govind Raj said more than what you have said in the post Som!

Govind Raj said...

Ankit Thanks for that, but Som is an inspiration for a lot of my innovations. I seriously think we were conjoined twins separated at birth. Only it took Som 9 years and me 9 months to come out of the imaginary womb!

NC, no wonder his timing is always off-mark.

Som said...

Thiru, glad you liked it :)

Som said...

Govind, your 'Axe effect' was really outrageous :)

Som said...

Ankit, that's the price you have to pay when you have readers like Govind and I don't mind it a bit:)

BTW, had the same suspicion Govind. Now that finally we both are out, let's rock the blogosphere!

Hahaha..Modi with the axe. Good one mate. He IS wielding an axe; but at the tree called BCCI..

Som said...

Deep, now the tree might fall on the woodcutter and kill him:)

Som, never underestimate Lalit Modi. He has an ace in his armory. He will definitely strike at the Power center if cornered so badly. As of now, he is targeting Chirayu Amin to keep Pawar on tenterhooks!

Trust me, it will not be curtains for Modi without substantial drama. He is down alright, but you can't just wish him out !

Govind, I don't think Modi can return ever and probably he too now realises it and trying to sink others as well as he drowns. Modi's exit would be a big loss for 'Doosra' but I'm getting ready for it:)

Govind Raj said...

Just remember Azaruddin, he won an election in this country after earning tonnes of disrepute in match-fixing scandal.

Yeh India hai, mere Bhai; yahaan kuch bhee ho sakta hai! He sure will have to go underground for now. But you can never rule out chances of his come back!

I think Modi can return only if new equations are formed. Dalmiya is keeping very quiet. And Pawar and his group are suddenly looking "vincible". So past enemies like Modi and Jaggu can get together on the age-old premise of "Dushman ka dushman dost" and Modi could be back. Govind is correct in saying that this is India..kuchh bhi ho sakta hai!! Jai Ho!!

Govind, only the flexibles survive and I'm afraid Modi is made of sterner fibre.

Deep, you have spilled the whole script of a Bollywood prospect, get it copyrighted man!
